COMPLETE RESULTS
CHILI, NY – Sophomores Mike Welch and Connor McCauslin were the top finishers for the Nazareth College Men's Track and Field team Friday night at the final regular season meet as the Golden Flyers competed at the Capstone Meet at Roberts Wesleyan College with a last chance to qualify for the NCAA Regional meet.
Welch placed seventh in the 200 with a 23.14 and McCauslin had a 14.98 in the 110-meter hurdles as he placed second in his heat. He took eighth in the finals with a time of 15.22. Welch was also ninth in the 400 with his time of 51.61.
Late results had junior Josh Pomerleau with a school-record effort in the pole vault. Pomerleau cleared three heights before attempting the school record level and on his second attempt he cleared the 4.40 meter (14' 5 1/4") height. He finished ninth in the event.
Junior Josh Tomaka also placed second in his heat of the 1500 with a time of 4:07.54. Teammate sophomore Nathan McNally edged Tomaka in the final time results as he clocked a 4:07.46 as the duo placed 15th and 16th overall.
Nazareth had a pair of finishers in the 800 as sophomore
Lucas Sharron placed 25th and senior
Christopher Celecki was 29th.
