ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman sprinter Connor McCauslin raced t a first place finish in the 60-meter hurdles and was also a member of the second place 4x200 relay for the Nazareth College men's track and field team at the RIT Midseason meet in Gordon Field House.
McCauslin clocked an 8.65 to win the 60-meter hurdles and the time earned him a spot in the upcoming All Atlantic Regional Championships at Nazareth. He teamed with freshman Mike Welch, freshman Bryce Florian and freshman Calvin Garnes to place second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:38.61.
Sophomore Josh Tomaka was second in the 1000 in 2:41.00 while teammates junior Christopher Celecki (3rd) and junior Michael Brown (5th) also had impressive finishes in the race.
Florian added a fourth place finish in the pole vault, Welch was eighth in the 400 and the relay with Tomaka, sophomore Patrick Healy, Brown and Celecki was sixth in the 4x400.
