Brody Cord had 13 kills and freshman
Jake Kemp added 31 assists as visiting Nazareth won a four-set men's volleyball match at Penn State Behrend. Scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21.
Nazareth improved to 20-4 overall and 3-2 in United Volleyball Conference matches. Penn State Behrend is 11-10 overall and 1-5 in conference matches.
Cord had six of his kills in the first set and four more in the third as Nazareth took control. Cord hit .440 overall (13-2-25) and also added seven digs and two blocks. Junior
Tim Zyburt contributed 12 kills on 29 swings for a .345 hitting percentage with 10 digs. Sophomore
Kane Wittorff had 11 kills.
Nazareth hit .395 in the opening set to take the early lead. Each team had 14 kills in the second set, but the Lions prevailed on a kill by Josh Oerlty (10 kills) on set point.
Nazareth won the final two sets by identical scores. Cord had four kills in the third set and Zyburt had three.
Josh Hieb added four in the fourth, while Cord and Zyburt each had three.

Nick McDonagh added 20 assists and junior
Cory Randolph had a match-best 13 digs.
Nazareth plays its final regular-season home match Saturday against Elmira (non-conference) at 1 p.M. Nazareth will honors its three seniors: Cord, McDonagh and
Luke Lawatsch.
