Nazareth College Athletics

Politcal Science and Legal Studies major... born 9/29/93... son of William and Anna McDonagh, Derby, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, McDonagh played in all 25 of Nazareth’s matches and appeared in 87 sets during the Golden Flyers’ 2014 season… McDonagh took over as Nazareth’s primary setter and amassed 805 assists… tallied at least 45 assists in five matches, including a career-high 58 assists in the Golden Flyers’ five-set win over Thiel (3/15/14)… also ranked third on the team with 115 digs and had 12 against MIT on 2/8/14… added 52 total blocks, 34 kills, and nine service aces.

2013: McDonagh appeared in 37 of the Golden Flyers’ 38 matches and 109 sets… had 54 kills, 177 assists and 36 blocks… produced double digit assist totals nine times, including a season-best 30 assists in a three-set sweep of Penn State Altoona on 3/2/13… had seven kills each in wins over D’Youville and Vassar on 3/23/13 and 4/13/13 respectively.

2012: appeared in 32 matches and produced 51 kills and 110 assists with 41 digs and 22 blocks... hit .500 with a season-best 10 kills in a three-set sweep of New Paltz on 2/12/12... had a career-best 35 assists in a four-set win over Newbury on 3/31/12.

Scholastic: a graduate of Lake Shore High School, McDonagh played four seasons of varsity volleyball there... earned Western New York all-star honors... a member of the National Honor Society... competed in lacrosse, basketball, swimming, basketball and water polo.
