Tournament siteCORTLAND, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's volleyball team finished action at the Red Dragon Classic with a pair of losses on Saturday. The Golden Flyers fell to Richard Stockton in five sets before falling to Hiram in four sets. The scores of the Richard Stockton match were 31-33, 23-25, 27-25, 25-18, 15-9. The Golden Flyers claimed a two-set lead in Saturday's match before dropping the final three sets. Against Hiram, the scores were 25-20, 25-11, 19-25, 25-12. Junior
Jennifer Hicks earned all-tournament honors for Nazareth.
Following the Red Dragon Classic at Cortland, Nazareth stands at 0-4. The Golden Flyers will look for their first victory against Hiram at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Following its victory over Nazareth, Richard Stockton is 2-1 overall. Hiram closed Saturday's action with a 4-0 record.

Maria Allocco and
Kassandra Buseck tallied 18 kills and 17 kills, respectively, to lead the Golden Flyers attack.In addition to the kills from Allocco and Buseck, Hicks recorded 14 kills and senior

Madi Wickens finished with 42 assists as she directed the Golden Flyers' balanced attack. Wickens also finished with a team-high 15 digs. Classmate
Maureen Thayer recorded an additional 14 kills. Hicks (three), Messmer (two), and Harrigan (two) each had multiple assisted blocks to help Nazareth's defense.
The Golden Flyers had a hitting percentage of .47 on 20 kills during the first set. Nazareth finished the match with percentages of .29 (13 kills), .26 (14 kills), .33 (17 kills), and .0 (four kills) in the following four sets.
Against Hiram, Allocco finished with a team-high 12 kills, followed by Buseck with nine kills. Hicks and freshman
Mallory Cobb added eight kills apiece. Wickens finished with 10 assists while Thayer and sophomore
Rachel Williamson each had nine assists. Nazareth had hitting percentages of .17 in the first set, .17 in the second set, .3 in the third set, and .07 in the fourth set.
Defensively, Cobb and senior
Katherine Race had seven digs apiece while Harrigan and senior
Taylor Stabley each had five digs.
Nazareth hosts the Golden Flyer Invitational September 5th-6th. Nazareth plays Buffalo State and Fredonia at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, on Friday.
