ITHACA, N.Y. -- Nazareth resumed its men's and women's swimming and diving seasons Friday as the Golden Flyers competed in the Bomber Invitational. The women's team is in eighth place in the 11-team field with 125 points. The men's team posted a team score of 136 and stands in fifth place. The field includes two Division I schools (Cornell and Colgate) and two Division II schools (LeMoyne and Shippensburg).

Freshman Dan Burke was Nazareth's top individual finisher as he placed sixth in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:58.06. Junior Tim Rappold and senior Jacob Kline finished ninth and 10th respectively in the same event.

Burke, Rappold and Kline also competed in the 200 medley relay along with senior Mikie Bidwell. The group finished seventh with a time of 1:37.92. Freshman Jeff Green also competed for Nazareth in 1-meter diving and finished 11th with a score of 366.70.

In the women's meet, the Golden Flyers got a seventh-place finish from junior Emily Sauter in the 50 freestyle with a time of :24.65. Sauter also anchored Nazareth's 200 medley relay that finished fifth in 1:50.59. Juniors Maura Reissig and Karisa Kobel also swam along with senior Carissa Risuccui. Risucci also finished 10th in the 200 IM in 2:10.38.

Swimming and diving resumes Saturday at 10 a.m. and continues through Sunday.
