Studio Art major. . . born 6/28/91... son of Steve and Tina Kline, Newark, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, the versatile Kline earned team MVP honors for the third year in a row in 2011-12 as he placed eighth in the 200 IM (1:56.89), ninth in the 100 freestyle (:47.40) and 13th in the 100 butterfly (:52.45) at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet… also part of school-record in 200 free relay with an eighth-place time of 1:28.14… holds school records in five individual events: 50 free (:21.59), 100 free (:47.40); 50 backstroke (:25.17); 100 butterfly (:51.89) and the 200 IM (1:56.69)… also part of two relay records: 200 free relay (1:28.14) and the 200 medley relay (1:37.86)… ranks among all-time best in 100- and 200-yard backstrokes with :54.02 and 2:04.64 respectively…
2010-11: Kline earned team MVP honors after representing Nazareth at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 meet and finished seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (:54.34), eighth in the 200-yard IM (1:59.24) and eighth in the 100-yard butterfly (:52.96)... swam the first leg of the 200 and 400-yard medley relays that both placed 10th (1:41.23 and 3:39.85, respectively)... anchored the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished ninth (1:29.26) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:19.21) that placed 12th...
2009-10: set a school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of :51.89... also had team-best times in the 100 free (:48.25) and the 200 IM (1:59.95)... was part of the 200 medley relay team that set school record with a time of 1:37.86... recipient of team High Point Award as Most Valuable Swimmer... finished third in the UNYSCSA meet and first in the Empire 8 in the 100 fly... also eighth in the 200 IM and 13th in the 100 free...
Scholastic: a graduate of Newark High School, Kline was a five-year member of the varsity swim team... also competed on the tennis, cross country, soccer, and outdoor track teams. . . was named team MVP four consecutive seasons... finished as a state finalist during 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons and was a Section Five champion in the 100 fly (2007-08, 2008-09), 200 IM (2006-07),100 back (2008-09)... Kline also won Finger Lakes League championships in the 100 fly and 200 IM (2005-08) and the 100 back (2008-09)... named the Finger Lakes League Swimmer of the Meet during freshman, sophomore, and senior seasons.
