Nazareth defeats RIT, 187-85

ROCHESTER, NY - Nazareth women's swimming & diving team won its final dual meet of the year defeating RIT 187-85. The Golden Flyers will now prepare for the E8/UNYSCSA Meet which begins on February 23 at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Carissa Risucci won three events including the 100-meter breaststroke, 1:19.06, the 200-meter breaststroke, 2:48.44, and the 200-meter IM, 2:36.00. She was also a member of the winning 200-meter medley relay team that finished with a time of 2:06.47.

Jaclyn Conklin finished with two first place finishes including the 200-meter butterfly, 2:40.26 and the 100-meter butterfly, 1:11:03. Rachael Phipps was a first place finisher in the 200-meter freestyle, 2:16.18 and the the 100-meter freestyle, 1:00.89 and also swam on the winning 200-meter medley relay team.

Other first place finishers for the women included Emily Sauter in the 50-meter freestyle, :28.40, Maura Reissig# in the 200-meter backstroke, 2:34.42 and Amanda Rogers in the 400-meter freestyle, 4:55.96. Marybeth Diego was also first in the 1-meter diving with 139.15 points.

On the men's side, Nazareth was defeated by RIT 186-98.

Michael Bidwell had two first place finishes this afternoon in the 100-meter breaststroke, 1:13.53 and the 200-meter IM, 2:25.60. Jacob Kline was first in the 100-meter backstroke, 1:02.35 and Justin Sawran finished first in the 400-meter freestyle, 4:31.44.

Bidwell also finished third in the 400-meter freestyle, 4:33.21 and Kline was a second place finisher in the 100-meter butterfly, 1:02.29. Dan Walton had two third place finishes including the 100-meter freestyle, :59.32 and the 200-meter butterfly, 2:25.08.
