Elizabeth Tripp wrapped up her illustrious diving career at Nazareth on Saturday, finishing in 28
th place on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving championships with 368.90 points. She had an average event score of 5.09 and average round score of 33.54.
The two-time Empire 8 Diver of the Year was coming of a 20
th place finish on Thursday on the 1-meter board at the NCAA Championships.
After starting a bit slow Tripp began getting her footing on the fifth dive, a back 1 1/2 somersault with 1 ½ twist in the free position, where she scored 34.80 points. She followed that up with her third-best dive of the day, scoring 38.40 points on a forward 2 ½ somersault pike. On her seventh dive she delivered 42.0 points on a back 2 ½ somersault in the tuck position.
Tripp's best dive was on her 10
th dive, an inward 2 1/2 somersault tuck where she scored 44.55 points. On her previous dive, an inward 1 1/2 somersault tuck, she scored 37.80 points.
