Daughter of Gregory and Silvia Tripp, Hamburg, N.Y... returning for her fifth year, after yet another successful season for the Flyers... at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Conference Championship meet, Tripp took home a first-place win in the 3-meter dive with a score of 451.80, and a second-place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 451.35... named 2024 Empire 8 Championship Diver of the Meet... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... Empire 8 First Team selection for 3-meter dive... Empire 8 Second Team selection for 1-meter dive... was named to the President's List for Academic Excellence in both the fall 2023 semester.
2022-23: Tripp was among the area's top divers as she earned Diver of the Year honors with Empire 8 Conference wins in both the 1- and 3-meter competitions at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Conference meet... emerged with personal-best scores of 469.00 in the 1-meter and 458.95 in the 3-meter... recipient of E8 Torchbearer Award as the student-athlete with the highest GPA who competed in the conference championship meet... competed at the NCAA Division III Regional meet at Ithaca and recorded eighth place in the 3-meter competition and 15th place in the 1-meter... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.
2021-22: teamed with Allie Norwood and Alexa Rizzo to form a formidable trio among area divers... produced an 11-dive score of 458.85 to finish second (behind Rizzo) in the 1-meter event at the Allegheny/Empire 8 Championships at Webster Aquatic Center... helped the Golden Flyers claim the team title... competed at the NCAA Northeast/South Regional meet at Ithaca and finished 15th in the 1-meter event (369.15) and 13th in the 3-meter (384.15)... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.
2020-21: Tripp excelled during the pandemic-altered 2021 spring season... competed at the Rochester Invitational and finished second (behind teammate Allie Norwood) by narrow margins in the 1- and 3-meter diving events with scores of 252.00 and 280.10 respectively... despite cancelation of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Tripp was declared an All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America based on video evaluation... also named to the Scholar All-American team by the CSCAA... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.
Scholastic: a graduate of Hamburg High School, Tripp competed there as a diver for four seasons and was a two-time Section Six champion and placed 12th at the state meet in 2019... also served as team captain and captured the Erie County Interscholastic Conference title in 2019... competed for the Buffalo Blizzards diving club and for the Hamburg lacrosse team... member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Art Honor Society... recipient of HTA Marcella Fugel Scholarship and Country Porcelain Artists Scholarship.
