Elizabeth Tripp competed on the 1-meter board on Thursday at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving championships, finishing in 20
th place for the prelims.
Tripp accumulated 374.40 points for her 11 dives, with an average event score of 5.32 per judge and a round score of 34.0.
The Hamburg, NY native delivered two dives of 40+, coming on her 10
th and 11
th dives. Her best dive was her last, a back 1 somersault with 2 ½ twists in the free position where she accumulated 43.20 points.
On her 10
th dive a an inward 1 ½ somersault pike, she scored a 40.80.
Another one of Tripp's stronger dives was her sixth dive, a forward 2 ½ somersault tuck in which she scored 38.40 points on the dive with a 2.4 degree of difficulty.
In all, Tripp had six dives with round scores of at least 36 or more.
Tripp will be back on the board on Saturday to compete on the 1-meter board at 12:45 p.m.
