HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Eighth-ranked Nazareth overcame a five-point deficit late in the fifth and deciding set Friday to defeat Hunter in a wild men's volleyball match at the Stevens Invitational. Nazareth improved its overall record to 2-1 after winning by scores of 33-31, 28-30, 30-24, 27-30, 16-14.
In the fifth set, Nazareth trailed 12-7 before rallying to score nine of the last 11 points. Sophomore Hans Schroeder recorded his 12th kill of the match for Nazareth's 15th point and sophomore Patrick Ribec had a service ace on match point to give the Golden Flyers the victory.

Billy Gimello paced Nazareth with 22 kills and 10 digs. Senior setter
Frank Leahy amassed 61 assists. Schroeder and senior
Kelvin Rolle each had 12 kills and sophomore
Chris Mendez had 10.
Nazareth plays two more matches Saturday -- vs. New York University at 12 p.m. and Stevens at 4 p.m.
