nazathletics.com) – The Nazareth men's golf team made the trip to Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, New York on Sunday to kick off the Utica Fall Invitational. The Golden Flyers ended the day with a team score of +13 and in the lead by 7 strokes through 18 holes, led by Sophomore
Joshua Anstett (72, +1).
How It Happened
- Joshua Anstett carded a 72 (+1) in round one of the event, earning him 2nd place overall at the half-way point. Anstett shot 4 birdies in the performance, and he'll look to compete for the top spot on Monday.
- Lincoln Crosby ended the day in a tie for 4th place individually thanks to a 74 (+3) shot round. He recorded back-to-back birdies on holes 6 and 7, and added another on hole 12.
- Jason Clifton was a part of the same tie for 4th place on the individual leaderboard with Crosby. He turned in a score of 74 (+3), and his round was highlighted by 4 birdies, including on holes 17 and 18 to cap off the round.
- Jaxstin Bingham was 4th among Golden Flyers in Sunday's action. He scored a 77 (+6) with birdies on holes 10 and 12.
- Jack Fesetch started his round with 4 consecutive pars and later added a birdie to lift him to a score of 78 (+7). He sits tied for 11th place individually after day one.
- Todd Willson (IND) was tied for 18th with a score of 81 (+10) through round one, shooting birdies on holes 6 and 18.
- Daniel Meritt (IND) recorded 6 consecutive pars in his round, carding an 83 (+12) and landing in 23rd position going into day two.
- Justin Krause (IND) placed 25th individually through 18, shooting an 84 (+13).

The Golden Flyers will return to Yahnundasis Golf Club on Monday, September 21st for day two of the Utica Fall Invitational.
