HILTON, NY (nazathletics.com) - Sophomore thrower Graeden Heichberger of the Nazareth Men's track and Field team was named Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships, held May 1-2 at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex on the campus of St. John Fisher University.

Heichberger earned Field Athlete of the Meet honors and set a championship and school record in the shot put, winning the event with a mark of 16.91 meters (55 feet, 5.75 inches). The throw ranks 16th nationally in NCAA Division III.

He also placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 56.48 meters (185-4).
