WILLIAMSBURG, VA - Nazareth Men's Golf closed out their first weekend of play since the Empire 8 Fall championships that took place in October. They fielded two teams who both improved on their day one performances at The Ruckus Tournament hosted at the Williamsburg National Golf Club. Team A scored a team total of 309 (+21), 7 strokes better than opening day, while Team B recorded a combined score of 341 (+53), one stroke better than the previous day. Team A moved up into 8th place with a two-day total of +49, while Team B fell to an 11th place finish at +107. Drew University took home the win with a weekend score of +6.
How It Happened
- Junior Lincoln Crosby (Team A) continued his strong play, scoring a 73 (+1) for a second consecutive 10th-place finish on the individual leaderboard. He recorded 2 birdies and 13 pars on the day, coming in one-under-par on the front nine. He ended the event at +3, earning him 10th place overall.
- Freshman Jaxstin Bingham (Team A) turned in a 77 (+5) on day two, earning him a 30th place finish on the weekend with a two-day score of +13. He flipped his day one performance, scoring an even 36 on the front nine before turning in a 41 on the back side.
- Senior Vincent Falgiatano (Team A) placed 33rd at The Ruckus, powered by a 4-stroke improvement on day two that saw him shoot a 77 (+5). He recorded two early birdies on the front side followed by 9 pars on the day.
- Freshman Jack Fesetch (Team A) turned in an 82 (+10) on the day, culminating to a weekend score of +19. His performance was highlighted by a birdie on hole 15, building on his 9 pars. His score earned him a 43rd-place finish.
- Sophomore Charlie Calcagni (Team A) also saw his best score on hole 15, where he recorded a birdie. He turned in an 89 on day two and finished the tournament in 55th place with a total score of +31.
- Justin Krause (Team B) led his team once again, earning a 38th-place finish with a combined score of +16 after two days of play. He turned in a 78 (+6) on Sunday, an improvement on day one. His round was highlighted by a birdie on the 7th hole, aiding him to a 12-hole stretch where he played even golf.
- Joshua Anstett (Team B) had a much better round of golf on day two, carding an 81 (+9) which was 8 strokes better than Saturday. He finished the event +26, good for 47th overall. Anstett shot 7 consecutive pars to open the back nine.
- Todd Wilson (Team B) carded 5 pars, helping him to a day-two score of 90 (+18) and a 52nd-place finish at +30.
- Jake Elinich rounds out team B, coming in 57th with a total score of 179 (+35). He shot a 92 on Sunday, opening his round with a birdie on the first hole.
