UTICA, NY - The Nazareth Men's Track and Field team traveled to Utica on Friday, February 6th for the first half of the Utica Blue & Orange 2 day Invitational to participate in the Heptathalon and 5k events. 

How It Happened:

• The distance runners of Nazareth competed in the 5000 meter race, with many outstanding performances, including Rylan Powell's breaking 16 minute achievement.

  • Michael Naylor 16:26.73
  • Christain Schuler 16:39.73
• The Men's Heptathlon, still underway, includes Nazareth's Jack Pomykaj currently in 5th place and Aaron Lund in 11th.

Meet Notes:

• Pomykaj had a great performance in the Long Jump placing 3rd and acquiring 684 more points to his total, Pomykaj jumped 6.44m (21-1 ½ ft)

• Next up the Nazareth team will host the Division III Elite Meet on February 13th and 14th in the Gollisano Training Center.
