ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Nazareth Track and Field team hosted the Division 3 Elite meet on Friday 2/13 for the first day of the 2 day meet. A school record was broken Friday night by Amber Hayes and a first place finish in the 4X400 brought a very successful night for the Golden Flyers. 
 
How It Happened:

• The 4X400 team including Alexis Lasher, Amber Hayes, Mariah LeGrow and Samantha Luba had regional qualifying time and a 1st place finish crossing the line at 4:06.55 
• Hayes, a now school recorder holder raced the 60m hurdles and took 3rd place with a time of 9.18 
• The first round of the 60m race took place and Alaina Morley, Alexis Lasher, Jasmine Kendrick and Jordan Wagner all qualified for the final round to take place on Saturday 
• Kendrick and Morley had another successful performance taking 2nd and 3rd place overall in the long jump 
  • Kendrick 5.22m (17-1 ½ ft) 
  • Morley 5.21m (17-1 ¼ ft) 

Meet Notes:

• The finals for the 60m hurdlers will take place on Saturday 2/14 and Hayes, Luba and Jasmine Ayre all qualified to race 
• The Distance Medley Relay team that included Kelsey Fahy, Abigail Bowman, Ava Baker and Ella Impaglia raced to a qualifying time for regionals and took 2nd place with a time of 12:47.72 
• The Golden Flyer Pole Vaulters dominated the score board take 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th places 
  • Isabel Morse 3.28m (12-6 ¼ ft) 
  • Kiara Tornusciolo 3.62m (11-10 ½ ft) 
  • Ashlyn Weakley 3.17m (10-4 ¾ ft) 
  • Madyson Bush 3.02m (9-10 ¾ ft)
