ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Nazareth Track and Field team hosted the Division 3 Elite meet on Friday 2/13 for the first day of the two day meet. Many great performances occurred across the board making a great start for day one of the meet. 
 
How It Happened:

• In the Weight Throw David Dobrowolski and Graeden Heichberger landed themselves 1st and 2nd places finishes 
• • Dobrowolski 17.72m (58-1 ¾ ft)
  • Heichberger 17.13m (56-2 ½ ft)
• In the first round of the 60m Hurdles Jack Pomykaj qualified for the final round that takes place on Saturday, he crossed the line in 6th place with a time of 8.74
• The Distance Medley team including Brennan Farr, Benjamin Brewer, Kaedan Leonidas and Michael Naylor claimed a 4th place finish with a time of 11:03.15 
• Will D'Agata competed in the Pole Vault event and had an honorary 5th place finish jumping a height of 4.30m (14-1 ¼ ft)  

Meet Notes:

• Graeden Heichberger set a new personal record in the Weight Throw beating his past record of 16.99m (55-9''ft) and making his current PR  17.13m (56-2 ½ ft) 
• The 4X400 team involving Jack Healy, Nicholas Driver, Gavin McAllister and Michael Puglisi had a great race hitting the qualifying standard for regionals crossing the line at 3:21.71 

What's Next:

• The meet will continue on Saturday, February 14th starting at 10 a.m. Next weekend the Golden Flyers will host the Conference Tune-Up at the Gollisano Training Center starting at 3:30 p.m.
