Rochester, N.Y. – The Nazareth men's swimming and diving team celebrated their seniors on Saturday, when they faced Penn State Behrend and suffered a 172-73 loss.

How It Happened

• Gianluca Antonini won the 400m Freestyle, with a time of 4:35.54. He also added a second place finish in the 800m Freestyle at 9:33.16

• William Maxfield also won an event, his being the 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:01.3. He took second place in the 200m Butterfly as well, recording a time of 2:25.93 in that event

• Sam Romanosky and David Martin swam in the same three events, competing intensely in each one. Romanosky took third place in the 100m IM (1:10.39) while Martin took third place in the 200m Breaststroke (2:47.61). The two also found themselves in a tie for third place in the 100m Breaststroke (1:15.21)

• A team of Antonini, Maxfield, Aidan Wilken, and Alexander Baxter won a relay in the 200m Freestyle, with a time of 1:46.9

What's Next

The Golden Flyers will now gear up to compete in the Empire 8 Conference Championships. They begin on Wednesday, February 18th and end on Saturday the 21st.
