ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's swim and dive team returned to RIT for the second day of the Don Richards Invitational, closing out the meet with several strong individual and relay performances. The Golden Flyers improved their point total to 165 to take sixth place.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Aiden Wilken (Jr), David Martin (So), Alexander Baxter (Sr), and Solomon Panayil (Jr) finished in 5th place with a time of 1:33.80, earning 28 points for the Golden Flyers.

In the 200-yard individual medley, William Maxfield (Fr) placed 18th (2:12.01), David Martin (So) was 20th (2:16.36), and Sam Romanosky (Sr) finished 22nd (2:22.31).

Alex Baxter (Sr), Wilken, and Panayil competed in the 200-yard freestyle, touching 21st, 25th, and 26th with times of 1:56.54, 2:01.02, and 2:09.49, respectively. Gianluca Antonini (Jr) swam an exhibition 1:52.77.

Maxfield also placed 10th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.70) and competed in the 100-yard freestyle (10th, 54.74).

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Martin placed 11th (2:26.20) and Romanosky 14th (2:30.09), adding points to the team's day-two total.
