Rush, N.Y. – The Nazareth men's golf team stayed put in second position to close out the St. John Fisher Invitational through two days of play on Monday, with a total combined score of 619 (+51). St. John Fisher won the tournament with a combined team score of 606 (+38).
How it Happened:
- Freshman Jaxstin Bingham led the way with a two-day score of 153 (+11), good for a tie in second place overall. Bingham closed out his tournament with a 36 on the back nine and a birdie on the final hole.
- Junior Lincoln Crosby carded a 79 (+8) on day two for a weekend-total of 154 (+12), earning him a tie for fourth place. He shot 7 birdies through 36 holes.
- Senior Vincent Falgiatano shot a team-best 74 (+3) on Monday, catapulting him into a tie for sixth position. Falgiatano finished his round shooting even par through the last six holes, aided by a birdie on 18.
- Rounding out the top four scorers for the Golden Flyers was Freshman Jack Fesetch, whose two rounds combined for a score of 158 (+16), landing him in ninth place at the tournament's end.
- Nazareth had four more golfers finish the tournament inside the top fifteen scorers; Freshmen Joshua Anstett (160, +18) and Todd Wilson (161, +19), as well as Sophomores Charlie Calcagni (163, +21) and Jake Elinich (168, +26). The four lower-classmen ranked consecutively on the individual leaderboard, in positions ten through thirteen.
