How It Happened:

• Oswego N.Y. – The men's golf team repeated their performance from day one at Oswego Country Club, posting a combined team score of 307 (+23) once again, powered this time by a handful of hot streaks. The Golden Flyers ended the weekend in fourth place with a two-day total of 614 (+46), down one spot from their day one finish.

• Just ahead of Nazareth in third place was SUNY Oswego, who turned in a combined weekend score of 613 (+45), only one stroke better than the Golden Flyers. Winning the Invitational was Clarkson (599, +31), who maintained their day one position in first place. 

• Freshman Joshua Anstett continued his strong play, finishing in fourth place overall on the individual leaderboard and first among Golden Flyers with a total tournament score of 150 (+8). Anstett carried his momentum from day one into his Sunday round, starting it off with seven consecutive pars. 

• Finishing second among Nazareth golfers and ninth overall was junior Lincoln Crosby, who turned in his team's lowest score on Sunday with a 75 (+4), bringing his two day total to 152 (+10). Crosby also started strong with six straight pars, coupled with two birdies on the back nine. 

• Freshman Jaxstin Bingham carded a 156 (+14) through 36 holes, landing him in 20th overall and third on his team. He ended his round today with six straight pars to shoot a 77 (+6).

• Freshman Jack Fesetch turned in a two-day score of 161 (+19) and was Nazareth's fourth lowest scorer, taking 30th overall. He shot an 82 (+11) on day two and joined the group of Nazareth golfers with strong starts, shooting six consecutive pars to start his round. 

• Freshman Todd Wilson was a highlight among individual golfers for Nazareth. Although his scores didn't count towards the team's total, he carded an 80 (+9) on day two for a weekend total of 158 (+16). His showing was good for a 26th-place finish. 
   

What's Next:

• The men's golf team will now gear up to defend their home tournament when they compete in the Nazareth Fall Invite on October 5th and 6th, with day one taking place at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY and day two at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, NY.
