Men’s Golf Take Second at Keuka Invitational

Penn Yan, N.Y. – The Nazareth men's golf team took second place at the Keuka Invitational on Wednesday, in what made for an incredibly close finish.

How it Happened:

The Golden Flyers combined for a score of 321 (+33), narrowly besting both Russell Sage and SUNY Canton who both shot 322 (+34), but falling by only one stroke to Utica (320, +32).
Freshman Jaxstin Bingham was the lowest scoring Golden Flyer, shooting a 75 (+3) that consisted of three birdies and nine pars. He finished second among 42 players at the Invite and continues to impress in his first season of collegiate golf.
Coming second on the Nazareth squad and fifth overall was junior Lincoln Crosby, who has been a mainstay near the top of the leaderboard. Crosby carded a 77 (+5) on the round, which saw him shoot seven consecutive holes (from hole 8 to 14) of par or better, including a birdie and an eagle.
Another freshman in Jack Fesetch turned in a strong performance today, shooting an 84 (+12) that included five pars and a birdie. He was closely followed by Nazareth senior Vincent Falgiatano who scored an 85 (+13), including seven holes of par or better. They finished 17th and 20th respectively in the overall individual leaderboard.

Men's golf will be back in action on Saturday, September 27th at Oswego Country Club for day one of the annual Oswego Fall Invitational.
