HILTON, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Field Hockey's Lauren Bachner and Women's Cross Country's Ella Impaglia took home Empire 8 weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. 

Senior goalie Lauren Bachner earned her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week nod, sharing the distinction with St. John Fisher's Morgan Parrinello, while senior Ella Impaglia picked up her first career Runner of the Week honor for cross country. 

Bachner registered her second straight shutout victory in a 1-0 win at Allegheny Saturday, posting five saves in goal to rank second in the Empire 8 with .882 saves per game. 

Impaglia led the Golden Flyers at the Hamilton Short Course Invitational with a stellar run, placing third overall out of 107 student-athletes in a time of 14:43.4. She crushed her previous time from the Hamilton Invitational in 2024 where Impaglia finished seventh place with a time of 15:04.8.
