Isabel Morse became a two-time second team all-american on Thursday, tying for 12
thin the pole vault at the NCAA Division IIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Spire Institute.
Morse came into the championship ranked 13
th at a height of 3.89 meters (12' 9"), which is the school record she set at the AARTFC championships last weekend. The Ithaca, NY native came in at 3.60 meters (11' 9 ¾") and hit on the first attempt. She did the same 3.75 meters (12' 3 ½"). Morse then missed on her next three attempts at 3.85 meters (12' 7 ½").
It was a stellar year for Morse, who made her first NCAA Championship appearance for indoor nationals, hosted at Nazareth's Golisano Training Center. Morse, too, finished 12
th in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor track and field championships with a height of 3.87 meters (12' 8 ¼"), a personal best for indoor.
