BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Nazareth's women's track and field teams competed in the Brockport Invitational on Sunday. Sophomore
Emily Rolince placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 10.94 meters (35' 10 ¾"), which ranks second on the Golden Flyers' top-10 list. Rolince improved from her previous performance of 10.55 meters (34' 7 ½"), which she recorded in April 2024.
Senior
Abbey Conquest and junior
Isabel Morse performed well in field events too. In the javelin throw, Conquest improved on the school-best mark she set last week (32.16 meters, 105' 6") by recording a throw of 32.42 meters (106' 4"). Morse was third in the pole vault with a height of 3.66 meters (12' 0").
In addition to her performance in the shot put, Rolince competed in the hammer and discus events. In the hammer throw, Rolince placed 19th with her best throw reaching 35.97 meters (118' 0"), and she placed 20th in the discus with a throw of 25.52 meters (83' 9").
Graduate student
Katie Jacques had a pair of top-5 finishes when she took first in the long jump and fourth in the 200-meter dash. In the long jump, Jacques had a mark of 5.23 meters (17' 2"), and she finished the 200 with a time of 27.66 seconds.
Freshman
Jasmine Ayre also competed in the long jump and 200-meter events. Ayre was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 4.92 meters (16' 1 ¾") and was 13th in the 200 (29.15 seconds). Additionally, classmate
Gabriella Primrose finished 22nd in the 200-meter event with a time of 30.72 seconds. Primrose also competed in the high jump and placed eighth with a height of 1.34 meters (4' 4 ¾").
Four Golden Flyers ran in the 100-meter hurdles. Ayre finished fifth (17.24 seconds) to lead Nazareth, and she was followed by sophomore
Meya McKown in seventh (17.60 seconds), sophomore
Kaitlyn Burt in 10th (18.14 seconds), and freshman
Jenna Hostetler in 11th (18.28 seconds). Burt, McKown, and Hostetler also competed in the 400-meter hurdles. Burt was the Golden Flyers' top finisher in ninth place with a time of 1:15.78. She was followed by McKown in 10th with a time of 1:16.02, and Hostetler in 12th with a time of 1:17.52.
Sophomore
Ava Baker led Nazareth runners in the 800-meter event. Baker crossed the line third (2:26.75), followed by classmate
Bailey Visingard in fourth (2:28.07), grad student
Paige Ackley in 12th (2:34.70), and freshman
Alia Graziadei in 16th (2:39.04).
Freshman
Emily Perham joined Visingard, Graziadei, and Ackley to run the 4x400-meter relay. The foursome finished second with a time of 4:25.15.
Freshman
Nadia Dudley was the Golden Flyers' lone participant in the 5,000-meter run and placed fifth with a time of 21:27.27. In the 1500-meter run, freshman
Emily Miller (5:33.23) and Perham (5:34.83) finished 21st and 22nd, respectively.
The Golden Flyers are in action again next weekend when the team competes at the Coach Pollard Invite at Moravian University and at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational.
