Game 1 - 17-10 win over Iona

Iona answered with an unconverted try to end the half tied 5-5.
Nazareth got in Some penalty trouble being down a man for four of the 14 minutes between the first and second half.
At the opening of the second half, Nazareth applied pressure in Iona's end to cause a turnover. Off a set piece, Nazareth moved the ball to the edge where
Dylan Fairchild assisted
Tyshaun Wilson for the score in the corner to put Nazareth up 10-5.
Shortly after, Nazareth kicked deep into Iona's end and defensive pressure caused Fairchild led to intercept a pass for a score under the posts -
Owen Barr with the conversion to make it 17-5 in favor of Nazareth.Â
Iona responded with a try on the edge to make the score 17-10. Nazareth defense held strong down a man at the end to finish with the 17-10 victory.Â
Game 2 - 33-12 loss to St. BonaventureÂ
St. Bonaventure was the eventual champion of the tournament. Fairchild responded with a kick and chase highlight score to make the game 12-7. The Bonnies got back on the attack and possessed well to score a few tries at the end.
Nazareth fought hard until the final whistle and put in a last play score by Barr, assisted by
Conner Nicks to make it a final score 33-12.
Game 3 - 19-7 win over Marist
Naz started slow after a long break in between games and trailed Marist 5-0 early. The Golden Flyers were controlling the game, but a few handling and defensive errors set Marist up for some scores throughout the match.
After some solid phase play and defensive pressure
Devin Clarke assisted Wilson's try to even the score at 5-5.
Naz kept the pressure on and caused a turnover to help Clarke make a Marist player miss and he out ran the defense for the score in the corner, making it 12-5 Nazareth. Barr had the points after.Â
Right before halftime Marist broke through to cut the deficit to 12-10.Â
Out of halftime Nazareth was in control when a handling error saw Marist break down the line and eventually scoring to make it 17-12.
Nazareth kept composure knowing it needed to score a converted try. Possession and accurate passing saw Fairchild set up to beat a man on the edge and outrun the defense. Barr had the points after for a 19-17 victory.
Next up is Monumental 7s next week for another CRC qualifier.
