Rugby Plays Three at Frostbite 7s

LANCASTER, PA - Nazareth rugby played three games on Saturday at the Frostbite 7s.

Nazareth fell to Babson College 31-5 in their first pool play game. After a close first half, Babson capitalized on turnovers to run away with the final.

Nazareth jumped ahead of University of Delaware in its second match of the day. 60 degrees and sunny at kickoff, Nazareth looked good early going up 14-0. Try scores by seniors Owen Barr and Rashawn Bowen. Delaware came back to tie the score at the end of regulation. A draw for one tournament seeding point for each team as the result of a well fought match.

Nazareth drew a talented and deep team from University of South Carolina for their final day 1 match. After some initial back and forth, including strong performances from Nazareth's senior class, South Carolina pulled away to dominate the second half. Final score 47-0 in favor of the Gamecocks who played a very clean and disciplined game of rugby.
