Results 

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Senior Lea Richard was making her second straight appearance at the NCAA Division III Women's Track and Field Championships on Friday, finishing in 13^th place in the weight throw with a mark of 17.01 meters (55 feet, 9 ¾ inches) at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, VA. With the 13th-place finish, Richard earns Second Team All-American status. 
 
Richard improved upon her finish from the 2022-23 NCAAs in Birmingham, AL when she took 17^th place with a heave of (16.33 meters / 53 feet, 7 inches).
 
Richard recently broke her own school record in the weight throw at the All-Atlantic Regionals with a throw of 17.97 meters (58' 11 ½"). 
 
Alexis Boykin of MIT won the event with a throw of 19.98 meters (65 feet, 6 ¾ inches).
