ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's basketball team faced another hot 3-ball team on Tuesday night, falling 86-68 to Oswego in non-conference action. Oswego nailed 12-of-19 3 pointers (63.2 percent) to seize control of the contest. Freshman
Merritt Holly scored a career-high 11 points in the loss.
Nazareth drops to 2-3 on the year, while Oswego moves to 4-1.
Oswego had a strong shooting first half, hitting nearly 55 percent, including going 7-of-10 from 3-point range. Meanwhile, Nazareth was 12-of-34 (35.3 percent) and just 2-of-8 from 3-point range in the opening half.

Oswego took a double-digit lead at 30-20 with 6:22 left in the half and held on to a double-digit margin the rest of the half. It was 41-27 at the break.
The Lakers stormed to the first eight points of the second half and led by double-digits the entire half.
Solomon McFarlane led Nazareth with 11 points on 5-for-12 from the floor and had four assists.
Luke Insley had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Nazareth will have a quick turnaround, traveling to Princeton on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. contest.
