ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth rugby squad hosted its second home contest of the semester on Saturday, falling 50-31 to Boston College.
BC started hot and won the physical battle up front early on. Nazareth went down 19-0 before
Dylan Fairchild had a pair of penalty kicks to start the scoring for Naz.
A tough physical match up continued but Boston College dominated the first half and was leading 29-6 until
Abdulaye Sy punched in a try for Naz to make it 29-13. Boston college ended the first half and started the second half with tries.
The Golden Flyers continued to battle with another penalty kick from Fairchild followed by tries from
Russell Delos Santos,
Owen Barr, and Fairchild in the last 25 minutes. It was just too late to make the comeback.Â
