BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The Golden Flyers traveled across Rochester for the Brockport Golden Eagle Meet on Saturday. Sophomore
Alaina Morley was second in the 60-meter dash (8.05 seconds) and 16th in the 200-meter dash (27.59) to lead Nazareth in both events.
Classmate
Alexis Lasher was sixth in the 60-meters with a time of 8.28 seconds, while freshman
Jasmine Kendrick finished eighth with a time of 8.32 seconds. In the 500-meter dash, freshman
Ava Baker was fourth (1:26.08), and sophomore
Ella Impaglia was fifth (1:26.79). Freshman
Kennedy Rose finished fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:04.54), followed by classmate
Jordan Wagner in ninth (1:07.00). Senior
Emily Weaver, meanwhile, placed eighth in the 800-meter run (2:29.89). Morley was Nazareth's top performer in the 200-meter dash in 16th place with a time of 27:59, and freshman
Morgan Pospiech was the Golden Flyers' top finisher in the mile in 17th place with a time of 5:41.19.
In field events, sophomore
Sydney LaSalle was fifth in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.44 meters (4' 8 3/4"), and sophomore
Kiara Tornusciolo placed fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.05 meters (10') to lead the Golden Flyers in each event. Morley added another fifth-place performance in the long jump as she finished with a mark of 5.23 meters (17' 2"), and freshman
Hailey Webber placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 11.28 meters (37' 0 1/4").
In the 4x400 meter relay, Nazareth's D team of
Isabella Heath, Lasher,
Mallory Rice, and
Shiana Susa paced the other Golden Flyers' teams with a time of 4:20.60.
The Golden Flyers are in action again on January 27th when Nazareth hosts the Conference Challenge Cup at the Golisano Training Center.
