Five Student-Athletes Earn All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its 2023 Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic teams and five members of the Nazareth University teams earned recognition from the coaches association.

Sophomore Cade Eells was selected on the men's side while graduate student Brenna Johnson, junior Lea Richard and freshmen twin sisters Rosie Morse and Isabel Morse were honored on the women's side.

To be selected to the All-Academic team, the student-athletes must maintain a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year and must be among the top-50 athletes nationally in their event(s).

Eells earned a spot on the team in the 3K steeplechase event while Johnson was a long jump and 400-meter run selection, Richard was a hammer throw selection and the Morse twins were each selected in pole vault.

In addition, both Nazareth teams were selected as All-Academic teams by the USTFCCCA as each maintained at least a 3.1 team grade point average.
