Daughter of Craig and Denise Richard, Gansevoort, N.Y... returning for her fifth season of track and field, Richard competed frequently for the Golden Flyers in the 2023-24 seasons... at the Empire 8 Indoor Championship meet, Richard took home a champion title in weight throw with a distance of 17.56 meters, as well as placing 7th in shot put with a distance of 10.83 meters... at the AARTFC Indoor Championship meet, Richard took home the title in weight throw with a PR distance of 17.97 meters... competed in the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, where she placed 13th in weight throw with a distance of 17.01 meters... in April Richards scored a PR distance in hammer throw that broke her own Nazareth record with a distance of 52.14 meters... at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championship meet, Richards took home yet another title, this time in hammer throw with a distance of 49.05 meters, she also placed 6th in disc throw with a PR distance of 35.49 meters as well as 9th in shot put with a distance of 9.81 meters... at the AARTFC Outdoor Championship meet, Richard placed 13th in hammer throw with a distance of 46.11 meters... named by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) to its All-Academic team (3.30 GPA and top 50 ranking nationally)... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... Empire 8 First-Team honoree for hammer throw... Empire 8 First-Team indoor honoree for weight throw... named by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) to its All-Region team.
2022-23: Richard continued to excel for the Golden Flyers as one of the area's premier throwers in 2023... set school records in the weight throw (indoors) and the hammer throw (outdoors) to earn Niagara Region all-star honors in both... heave of 17.22 meters (56 feet, 6 inches) was good for first place in the weight throw at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at the New York Armory... she also won that event at the E8 Indoor meet (16.87 meters / 55 feet, 4.25 inches) and finished fifth in the shot put (11.22 meters / 36 feet, 9.75 inches)... represented the Golden Flyers at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Birmingham and finished 17th (16.33 meters / 53 feet, 7 inches)... outdoor season featured a record heave of 50.37 meters (165 feet, 3 inches) in the hammer throw for a first-place finish at the Cardinal Classic at St. John Fisher... won the E8 outdoor title (49.58 meters / 162 feet, 8 inches), finished fourth in the discus (34.03 meters / 111 feet, 8 inches) and sixth in the shot put (10.65 meters / 34 feet, 11.25 inches) to help Nazareth win its first-ever team title... advanced to the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Susquehanna and finished sixth in the hammer (49.20 meters / 161 feet, 5 inches)... named by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) to its All-Academic team (3.30 GPA and top 50 ranking nationally)... named to the Academic All-District team (3.50 GPA minimum) by the College Sports Communicators... named to the E8 Presidents' List (3.75 GPA) for the fall and spring semesters.
2021-22: Richard finished first at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.76 meters (143' 7") to earn first-team all-conference... also was fourth in the shot put with mark of 10.55 meters (34' 7.5")... finished second in the weight throw at the AARTFC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a throw of 16.24 meters (53' 3.5")... named by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) to its All-Academic team (3.30 GPA and top 50 ranking nationally).
2020-21: Richard excelled for the Golden Flyers as a thrower in 2021... set a school record in the weight throw during the indoor season with a heave of 15.11 meters (49 feet, 7 inches) to finish first at the Empire 8 indoor meet... also finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 10.94 meters (35 feet, 10 3/4 inches)... outdoor bests included 43.30 meters (142 feet, 1 inch) in the hammer throw and 29.65 meters (97 feet, 3 inches) in the discus... finished third in the hammer (133 feet, 9 inches) and fifth in the shot put (35 feet, 2 inches) at the E8 Outdoor meet and represented the Golden Flyers in the hammer throw at the All-Atlantic Regional meet and finished 15th (128 feet, 1 inch).
Scholastic: a graduate of South Glens Falls High School, Richard excelled there as a thrower during both the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons... won the Section Two State Qualifier in the weight throw during the 2020 indoor season and finished ninth at the state meet... qualified for national meet in the weight throw, but meet was canceled due to COVID-19... competed in virtual outdoor national meet in hammer throw and finished 25th nationally... broke school record in weight throw six times and was named as a first-team all-area in the weight throw by the
Times-Union newspaper... also received high school's Female Athletic Excellence Award for 2020... recipient of several scholastic awards and scholarships, including the Robert J. Nolan Scholarship, the Sandy Hill Foundation Scholarship, the Mike Nolan Scholarship and the Hudson River Community Credit Union Scholarship.
