Physical Therapy major... daughter of Patrick and Crystal Johnson, Cortland, N.Y... returning for her fifth track and field season, Johnson had another stellar year in 2021-22, earning All-American honors during the indoor season in the the long jump with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA meet with a jump of 5.64 meter (18' 6")... after being named the Co-Field Athlete of the Meet at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships, Johnson was named the E8 Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year...at the Empire 8 outdoor meet she won the long jump with a leap of 5.73 meters (18 feet, 9 3/4 inches); finished second in the 200-meter dash (:26.20); third in the high jump at 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch); and fourth in the 400-meter dash (:57.97)... also ran on the 4 x 400-meter (4:04.99) and 4 x 100-meter (50.87) relays that finished second and third respectively... during the indoor season, Johnson set the meet record at the Empire 8 Indoor Championships in the 60-meter dash (7.86) to earn first-team all-conference... also won the long jump in 5.66 meters (18' 7") for first-team honors... third in the 400-meter dash (58:90) and part of the 4 x 400-meter relay that finished second (4:05.62)... in 2021-22 had career-best marks of 7.85 indoor in the 60-meter dash (school record), 20.5 meters (67' 3") in the javelin throw, 26.05 in the 200-meter dash, 57.97 in the 400, and 12.40 in the 100-meter dash outdoor (school record)... named to the all-academic team by U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
2020-21: Johnson was a multi-event standout for the Golden Flyers in 2021 with her outdoor season culminating in a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship meet in Greensboro, N.C., where she placed 15th in the long jump with a leap of 5.26 meters (17 feet, 3 1/4 inches)... qualified with a jump of 5.76 meters (18 feet, 10 3/4 inches) to finish third at the All-Atlantic Region Championship meet at St. John Fisher on 5/19/21... named Empire 8 Outdoor Track Athlete of the Meet and Indoor Track Athlete of the Year... finished first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes outdoors with times of :12.63 and :26.13 respectively... also part of winning 4 x 400-meter relay (4:09.64)... also second in the 400-meter dash, the long jump and the 4 x 100-meter relay... third in the high jump... won four events at the E8 Indoor meet -- the 60-meter dash (8.06), the 200-meter dash (:27.35), the 400-meter dash (1:01.56) and the 4 x 400-meter relay (4:16.49)... time of 42.88 in the 300 on 12/10/21 set school record... twice named as E8 Indoor Athlete of the Week (3/1/21 and 3/22/21) and named Outdoor Athlete of the Week four times (4/5/21, 4/12/21, 5/10/21 and 5/24/21)... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.
2019-20: Johnson was among the Golden Flyers' top performers during the 2020 indoor season as she placed first in the 400-meter dash (:59.70) at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton on 2/28/20... also placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of :26.48 and fifth in the 60-meter dash (8.04)... scored Nazareth's lone point at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Nazareth with an eight-place finish in the 400 with a personal-best time of :59.30... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.
2018-19: Johnson experienced considerable success in 2019 as she was named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons... helped 4 x 400-meter relay to E8 title indoors (4:05.19) and second place outdoors (4:08.20)... also second-team all-conference for the 4 x 100-meter relay (:50.22) outdoors... finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (:59.59) outdoors... other top times included :12.95 in the 100-meter dash and :26.70 in the 200-meter dash outdoors and 8.19 in the 60-meter dash and :45.00 in the 300-meter dash indoors.
Scholastic: a graduate of Homer High School, Johnson competed there in basketball and track... won Section Three titles in the 400-meter dash as well as the 4 x 400-meter relay in 2016... played for the Syracuse Nets club team for basketball... recipient of OCM BOCES Teacher's Union Scholarship.
