SELINSGROVE, PA – Freshmen Jack Pomykaj and Aaron Lund each scored more than 5000 points in the decathlon and graduate student Patrick Healy finished 11th in the 1500 as the Nazareth Men's Track and Field team wrapped up competition Thursday at the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships at Susquehanna University.
Pomykaj used a strong final 100 meters in the 1500-meter run to place third overall in the Decathlon with a personal best score of 5,616 points. The mark is just shy of the school record set earlier this year by Lund. Lund was also over 5000 points as he finished 7th with a final score of 5,409.
Healy ran his personal best in the 1500 and finished 11th overall with a time of 3:57.47. The time ranks No.2 on the all-time Nazareth top-five list.
Nazareth scored 17 points as a team and finished in a tie for 20th place overall.
