BROCKPORT, NY – Two of Nazareth's track decathletes competed on Friday at the Brockport Invitational in Jack Pomykaj and Aaron Lund.
 
After five events of the decathlon, Lund is in fourth place with 3,073 points and fellow freshman teammate Pomykaj is in seventh place with 2,963. The top finish of the day came from Pomykaj as he won the 100-meter dash in a personal best time of 11.37 to earn 780 points. He was also third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 52.56.
 
Lund's top finish was third place in the shot put with a throw of 11.01 meters. He added a pair of fifth places finishes in the 100 (11.73) and the long jump at 6.17 meters. He was sixth in both the high jump (1.73 meters) and the 400 (54.25).
 
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday at the Brockport Invitational.
