ITHACA, NY – The women's track and field squad had a trio of performers compete in the Pentathlon at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational on Sunday, headlined by
Hannah Ragule setting a personal best of 2,751 points to finish in seventh place. That mark gives her the second-best score in school history. Also competing was junior
Lauren Bendall who registered 2,559 points for ninth place. Her mark is the fifth-best in the Nazareth record books. Freshman
Sydney LaSalle competed in her first collegiate pentathlon, taking 15
th place with 2,158 points. Her point total of 2,158 is sixth-best all-time.
Ragule had her top finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.25 meters (17 feet, 2 ¾ inches) to earn fourth place. She picked up the most points in the 60-meter hurdles (659 points) with a time of 10.29 to earn 10
th place. She finished the day with an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:44.17). In the other two events, the junior was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 8.74 meters (28 feet, 8 ¾ inches) and 13
th in the high jump at 1.38 meters (4 feet, 6 ¼ inches).
Bendall saved her best performance for last, ending the pentathlon with a third-place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:35.22. She was also fifth in the shot put with a throw of 9.10 meters (29 feet, 10 ¼ inches) and ninth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.24.
LaSalle had top 10 finishes in the high jump with a mark of 1.44 meters (4 feet, 8 ¾ inches) and in the long jump at 4.79 meters (15 feet, 8 ¾ inches), for seventh and 10
th place, respectively.
