ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's track and field team delivered a number of personal bests on Friday night at the conference tune-up meet, highlighted by Senior
Kaleb Luton notching a season-best indoor time in the 60-hurdles of 8.19, which earned him first place. Nazareth had a number of other personal best times in the final meet before next weekend's Empire 8 Championships hosted at the Golisano Training Center.
Luton's time was just .06 off his career-best time. Freshman
Aaron Lund also had a personal-best of his own, finishing in a regional qualifying time of 8.63, good for third place. Luton was able to take fifth place in the triple jump at 13.21 meters (43 feet, 4 ¼ inches).
Senior
Mike Welch delivered his best-ever mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.32 to earn seventh place in the finals.
The Golden Flyers had a pack of runners in the mile, with junior
Ethan Glashauser leading the pack in 14
th place (4:36.85), personal best.
Kenny Williams also had his best-ever indoor mile (4:39.21) for 21
st.
Freshman
Gavin McAllister was 12
th in the 400 (53.02) and
Joey Nettles 16
th (53.75).
Cade Eells (1:59.68) and
Nathan Bowers (2:00.11) had strong finishes to earn ninth and 10
th respectively in the 800-meter run. Bowers 800 time was also a personal best.
Freshman
Adam Reifsteck was 11
th in the long jump at 6.24 meters (20 feet, 5 ¾ inches).
