Box Score ALBANY, NY– Junior Annika Monfort recorded two saves in the scoreless, 0-0 draw against Sage on Saturday. Montfort added another shutout performance, moving her season total to six. She now has five shutouts in seven Empire 8 contests.

Nazareth (5-4-6 overall , 4-0-3 conference) and Sage (7-4-4 overall, 2-2-3 conference) battled a close Empire 8 Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. 

In the first half, each team recorded just two shots. Monfort recorded one save for the Golden Flyers. A strong defensive performance for the Golden Flyers and Gators resulted in a 0-0 halftime score. 

The score remained scoreless throughout the second half of play. The Golden Flyers and Gators finished with 7 and 5 shots, respectively. Tatum Overton had four of Nazareth's shots. Monfort totaled two saves for the game. Both teams had opportunities in the half to score but came up empty. 

The Golden Flyers return to Empire 8 conference play on the road October 25 versus Alfred at 6 p.m. to close out the regular season. St. John Fisher (3-0-3) will play Houghton (3-3) at 7 p.m. tonight, which will indicate Nazareth's standing in the Empire 8 Conference. With a Cardinal victory, Nazareth and St. John Fisher would be tied for the top seed going into the last week of conference play.
