ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Kaleb Luton won the 60-metere hurdles while sophomore Benjamin Lewis and freshman Michael Puglisi had high finishes in the 300 and helped the 4x200 to a third-place finish and graduate student Patrick Healy had a personal best time and a third-place finish in the mile for the Nazareth Men's Track and Field team at the season-opening Alumni Opener Saturday in the Golisano Training Center.
Luton clocked an 8.51 second time in the preliminaries of the 60-metere hurdles and then turning in an 8.38 time in the finals to take first. Classmate Connor McCauslin was seventh in the race with an 8.71 time.
Healy shaved nearly 15 seconds off his personal best time in the mile as he took third with a time of 4:30.67.
Puglisi was third with a time of 36.25 in the 300 while Lewis was fifth in the race with a personal best time of 36.40. The 36.25 time for Puglisi ranks third on the Nazareth Indoor top-5 list.
The duo teamed with freshman John Pomykaj and McCauslin for a third-place finish in the 4x200 relay as the team finished in 1:35.93.
Additional top finishers included freshman Gavin McAllister was sixth in the 500 with a time of 1:09.59, freshman Jason Bletsko tied for 11th in the pole vault as he cleared 3.70 meters (12' 1 ½").
