HOUGHTON, NY – Freshmen Connor McCauslin tied for second place in the 60-meter hurdles , was third in the 60-meter dash and 10th in the 200 while fellow freshman Nathan Bowers was second in the 3K to lead the Nazareth College men's track and field team to a third place team finish at the Empire 8 Championships.
McCauslin clocked an 8.48 in the hurdles and crossed the line in 7.30 seconds in the 60m dash. Bowers had a time of 8:59.36 in the 3K as he led a pack of four Nazareth finishers in the race. Sophomore Josh Tomaka was fifth, junior Christopher Celecki was ninth and sophomore Jake Suddaby was 10th for Nazareth.
Senior Jason Hall was third in the 800 with a time of 1:59.04 and freshman Mike Welch was seventh in the 200 for the Golden Flyers.
In the field events, freshman Kaleb Luton was third with a 13.75 in the triple jump and fellow freshman Arthur DeVasto was eighth with a 1.76 meter height in the high jump.
