BROCKPORT, NY – Freshman Matthew Johnson had a pair of top-5 finishes and sophomore William Lewis was third in the 60-meter hurdles as the Nazareth College men's track & field team posted a fifth place finish as a team at the Thursday Night Brockport meet in the Special Events and Recreation  Center (SERC).

Johnson was third in the triple jump with a distance of 12.50 meters (41' ¼") and also placed fifth in the 400-meters with his time of 54.11. Lewis was third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.12.

Sophomore Jason Hall captured second place in the 800-meters with a 2:03.04 while freshman Patrick Healy was close behind in fifth place with his time of 2:04.82.

Junior Jervon Harrison took sixth place in the 60-meter dash in 7.44 and senior Andrew Gwynn was eighth in the 5K as he crossed the line in 17:38.90.

Nazareth was fifth with 39 points as a team. Brockport won the team race with 232 points followed by RIT (109 points), Daemen (62), St. John Fisher (40) and Nazareth. The Golden Flyers finished ahead of Alfred University (34), Roberts Wesleyan (15), Geneseo (9) and Mansfield (2).

The Golden Flyers will compete next at the RIT Invitational Feb. 16 in final preparation  for the Empire 8 Championships that begin Feb. 22.
