Biography
Finance major... son of Milton and Catherine Johnson Canandaigua, N.Y... returning for his fourth track and field season, Johnson became a consistent contributor for the Golden Flyers in 2021 as he leaped 12.95 meters (42 feet, 6 inches) to place fourth in the triple jump as the Empire 8 Outdoor meet... also posted a personal-best in the long jump of 6.33 meters (20 feet, 9 1/4 inches) to finish sixth... part of the 4 x 400-meter relay that finished second on the E8 Indoor meet in 3:36.80.
2019-20: Johnson competed in three events for the Golden Flyers at the 2020 Empire 8 Indoor meet and placed sixth in the 400-meter dash (:52.27)... also finished fourth in the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:30.;75) and 10th in the triple jump (41 feet, 1 1/2 inches)... personal best of 41 feet, 8 inches in the triple jump came at Brockport on 2/7/20... leaped 5.93 meters (19 feet, 5 1/2 inches) in the long jump at Nazareth on 1/25/20.
2019: Johnson had top performances in the 400-meter dash (:52.55) at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships and 5.68 meters (18 feet, 7 3/4 inches) in the long jump... ran :25.25 in the 200-meter dash during the indoor season.
Scholastic: a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, Johnson was a member of the soccer and track and field teams... earned Monroe County League all-star honors for track and field in 2017-18... a four-time NYSPHSAA scholar-athlete award winner... helped soccer team to league title in 2016.
