ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Christopher Celecki was 11th in the mile and fellow sophomore Jason Hall was 11th in the 800-meter race to help the Nazareth College men's track and field team to a solid finish at the RIT Last Chance meet Saturday afternoon in the RIT Fieldhouse.
Junior Jervon Harrison was also a top finisher for the Golden Flyers as he took 18th in the 200-meter dash and was also seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.01 meters (19' 8 ¾").
In the 800-meters, Hall was followed up by freshman Patrick Healy who finished 13th while freshmen Josh Tomaka and Jake Suddaby finished 16th and 20th respectively in the mile.
Healy teamed with freshman Matthew Johnson, Hall and senior Jack Wessel for a fifth place finish in the 4x400 relay. Johnson added a 14th place finish in the triple jump while sophomore William Lewis was 10th in the long jump and 14th in the 60-meter hurdles for the Golden Flyers.
Next up for the Nazareth track and field team is the Empire 8 Championships that begin Friday and continue Saturday in Utica.
