GENESEO, N.Y. -- Host Geneseo netted two goals off corner kicks in the second half to hand No. 24 Nazareth its first loss of the season Thursday night.  Fresh off a six-goal barrage against Allegheny on Saturday, Nazareth was unable to find the back of the net in its third game of the 2017 season.

The Golden Flyers drop to 2-1 on the season, while Geneseo remains unbeaten at 3-0.

After a defensive first half, with just eight total shots, play opened up in the second.

Geneseo broke through in the 53rd minute off a corner kick, as Jennifer Moran got a touch in at the near post and found the back of the net.

Julia Delgatti had a strong opportunity for the Golden Flyers in the 63rd minute as blast from inside the 18-yard box was saved.

Shortly after, Geneseo was at it again, scoring off a set piece in the 71st minute.  Leah Green headed down the corner kick and Raegen Becker cleaned up the garbage with the tap-in goal.

Nazareth's best opportunity of the opening half came on a cross from Miranda Timberake that was headed by Jordan Ruston 8-yards away in the 43rd minute.

Hannah Miller made two saves in net for the game.

Geneseo held a 10-9 advantage in shots.

The Golden Flyers face another difficult test on Saturday, traveling to St. Lawrence for a 1 p.m. contest.
