PHELPS, N.Y. -- Top-ranked Nazareth scored a three-set sweep over 12th-ranked Elmira in a non-conference match played Wednesday at Midlakes High School. Scores were 25-17, 25-22, 26-24.

Nazareth improved to 28-0 overall, while Elmira dropped to 16-12. The Golden Flyers, seeded first for next month's United Volleyball Conference Tournament, closes out its regular-season schedule this weekend at the Vassar Invitational. Nazareth plays Lancaster Bible and No. 10 Vassar on Friday and Johnson & Wales and No. 6 New Paltz Saturday.

Against Elmira, freshman Grant Levermore produced a match-best 13 kills with five digs and senior setter EJ Wells-Spicer totaled 38 assists. Freshman Tim Zyburt combined seven kills with seven digs and senior Dan Mowery also had seven digs.
