ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The top-ranked Golden Flyers' men's volleyball team added two more victories to their record on the second day of the Purple & Gold Invitational with a three-set sweep of D'Youville and a four-set victory over Ramapo. The scores of the match against D'Youville were 25-18, 25-18, 25-15, and the scores against Ramapo were 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-16. Freshman

With the victories, Nazareth improves to 27-0 on the season. Of the Golden Flyers' 27 victories, 19 have come in straight sets after Nazareth's victory over D'Youville. With the loss, the Spartans fall to 11-15 overall. Ramapo falls to 17-7 overall after losing in four sets.

Bobby Beeman had seven kills apiece to lead the Golden Flyers against the Spartans. The Golden Flyers' attack overwhelmed D'Youville with at least 12 kills in each set. Nazareth finished with a 39-21 advantage in kills and only committed 10 hitting errors. Following the kills by Hutter, McDonagh and Beeman, Zyburt recorded six kills and freshmen

Chris Mahan each added four kills.
Wells-Spicer collected 13 assists in the opening set. McDonagh and senior
Connor Ecklund added 13 assists and 10 assists, respectively, in the second and third sets. McDonagh also made an impact defensively with a team-high six digs and one solo block and three assisted blocks.
The Golden Flyers used a 9-0 advantage in service aces to stretch their lead. Wells-Spicer and Ecklund each had two aces to lead Nazareth.
In its match against Ramapo, Zyburt finished with a match-high 14 kills. Classmate
Grant Levermore and senior
Robert Kraft added 13 kills and 11 kills, respectively. Cord chipped in an additional eight kills for Nazareth's attack. Wells-Spicer amassed a match-high 45 assists and had two service aces to lead the Golden Flyers in each category.
Defensively, Kraft had one solo block and four assisted blocks to stymie several of the Roadrunners' scoring attempts. Hutter, Cord, and Levermore also each recorded three assisted blocks. Levermore finished the match with a team-high six digs.
Brian Colabella recorded a team-high 11 kills for Ramapo while Harsh Prajapati collected 30 assists. Aaron Kerschner had a match-high eight digs.
The Golden Flyers are in action again on Wednesday when Nazareth plays 13th-ranked Elmira at Midlakes High School at 7 p.m.
