ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Freshman
Daniel Strack finished in a tie for 15th-place at the McDaniel Invitational following Sunday's action. Strack fired an 82 on Sunday to finish with a combined score of 155 over the weekend. Strack recorded a two-over 73 on Saturday. In the women's invitaitonal, sophomores
Anne Czelusniak and
Jamie Schmidt finished as the Golden Flyers' top performers. After both Czelusniak and Schmidt scored a 102 on Saturday, each player dropped to a 95 on Sunday for total scores of 197.
Skidmore edged St. John Fisher for the men's title with a score of 609. After Fisher's 610, Swarthmore claimed third place with a total of 616. Nazareth finished with a score of 666 to claim 14th place.
Following Strack's two-day total of 155, senior
Tyler Woodward recorded a team-best 81 on Sunday to finish with a score of 168 to finish in a tie for 60th. Senior
Colin Doran totaled a 173 over the weekend after hitting an 83 on Sunday. Doran finished in a tie for 79th. Junior
Jay Stith and sophomore
Nick Polito each finished in a tie for 81st as they each recorded a 174 during the invitational. Stith shot an 87 on Sunday while Polito finished Sunday with an 88.
In the women's invitational, Allegheny maintained its day-one lead to claim the victory with a total team score of 676. NYU finished in second with a score of 679, followed by Cortland, who totaled a score of 680. The Golden Flyers' score of 859 provided Nazareth with a ninth place finish.
Following Czelusniak and Schmidt, sophomore
Alyssa Moffat and junior
Mindy Fowler finished the competiton in 53rd place and 54th place, respectively. Moffat hit a 115 on Sunday while Fowler finished the competition with a 124. Over the two days, Moffat had a 229, and Fowler tallied a score of 236.
The Golden Flyers are in action again on April 11th for the Mike Bello Invitational, hosted by LeMoyne College.
