ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Nazareth College Golden Flyers Swimming and Diving opened their season with the annual Purple and Gold meet Saturday afternoon at Nazareth College. The purple team was able to come out on top with a score of 115-98.

Winners of the individual events for the Purple team included: Sean Doyle at the Mixed 50 SC Meter freestyle, # Jeff Green# at the Mixed 1 Meter Diving, Daniel Burke at the Mixed 100 SC Meter Backstroke, and  Justin Sawran at the Mixed 400 SC Meter Freestyle.

Winners of the relay events for the Purple team included: Martin Piva, Sean Doyle, Justin Sawran and Daniel Burke for the Mixed 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay.

Winners of the individual events for the Gold team included: Michael Bidwell at the Mixed 200 SC Meter Freestyle, Jacob Klein at the Mixed 200 SC Meter IM and the Mixed 100 SC Meter Butterfly, Bryan Geary at the Mixed 100 SC Meter Freestyle, and Timothy Rappold at the Mixed 100 SC Meter Breaststroke.

Winners of the relay events for the Gold team included: Maura Reissig, Timothy Rappold, Bryan Geary, and Michael Bidwell at the Mixed 200 SC Meter Medley Relay.

Nazareth swims again next Saturday, October 20th at Alfred at 1 p.m.
